About me and my approach

As a psychodynamic psychotherapist, I offer an empathetic, supportive, and non-judgmental space to explore the foundations of patterns, behaviours, and feelings. While applying this approach, I maintain a strong awareness of our social systems and place a high value on the therapeutic alliance.

In my approach, I focus on exploring the root causes of emotional challenges and provide an affirming therapeutic space to facilitate change. I incorporate cultural awareness and sensitivity by respecting difference, including where our backgrounds and identities differ across race, ethnicity, sexuality, faith, class, and gender.

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework, which values empathy, confidentiality, and compassion as fundamental to therapeutic practice.

I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, whether you have a specific issue you would like to focus on, or wish to look deeper into different aspects of your life.

Why psychotherapy?

People seek out psychotherapy for many different reasons. When life feels overwhelming, therapy creates a space to navigate your experiences and foster self-compassion. It can help you manage stress, anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, improve relationships, establish boundaries and process emotional wounds.

Psychotherapy provides a reflection of yourself, fulfilling the need to be seen and recognised by another person. It invites an exploration of past experiences and focuses on processing the feelings that come with them.

At the heart of our work together, we will seek to understand your emotions. As we uncover the foundations of your patterns, behaviours, and feelings in a supported environment, you gain greater insight into yourself. This is where you can make significant change. By allowing space to explore and gain insight into the issues you are facing, this process can have a lasting, positive impact on your mental health.
